Ankur School began its journey in the late 1950s as an initiative by the spouses of Panjab University faculty, aiming to uplift the education of children from working-class families. Originating as the Students’ Aid Society, the mission started with small donations to support quality education for underprivileged children. This vision led to the establishment of Ankur Nursery School, with its foundation laid in 1973 and inauguration in 1976. Over the years, the school evolved into a full-fledged Senior Secondary institution, offering Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams. With its first Class X batch graduating in 2013 and Class XII in 2019, Ankur School has become a symbol of dedication and educational excellence. Its goals include student welfare, fundraising for aid, and fostering a spirit of social service—continuing its legacy of empowering children from all walks of life.

We put our Daughter in Ankur School just because it was near our house. It was later that how lucky we had been. Apart from imparting good education by experienced teachers it helped in all-round growth of our child be it sports, extra-curricular activities or on-stage performances ( debates, dance, music, arts )etc. The whole staff of the school is quite understanding and always ready to help.
