History

History

Ankur School began as a dream in the late 1950s—born from the compassion of Panjab University faculty spouses who formed the Students’ Aid Society to support the education of children from working-class families. What started with humble donations blossomed into Ankur Nursery School, with its foundation laid in 1973 and doors opened in 1976. Over the decades, Ankur grew steadily—shaping young minds from nursery to senior secondary, with its first Class X and XII graduates passing out in 2013 and 2019. Today, Ankur stands not just as a school, but as a legacy of inclusion, excellence, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves the light of education.
