Ankur School proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of educational excellence and community service. The Golden Jubilee festivities commenced with a grand event graced by Chief Guest Prof. Yojna Rawat, Director of the Research and Development Cell at Panjab University. Principal Aruna Dhiman welcomed attendees, reflecting on the school’s remarkable journey over the past five decades. Highlights of the celebration included the inauguration of an open gym, the unveiling of a new school logo, and a community outreach program benefiting local institutions. The event also featured cultural performances by students, adding vibrancy to the milestone celebration.

Ankur School, established in 1976, offers a comprehensive academic program from Pre-Nursery to Class XII, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. The school offers streams in Commerce, Arts, PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) at the senior secondary level. Co-curricular activities, including debates, quizzes, and exhibitions, complement academics to foster holistic development.

The Managing Committee, chaired by the spouse of the Panjab University Vice-Chancellor, provides strategic direction and oversight. President Mr. Sandeep Vig promotes a collaborative environment among teachers, staff, students, and parents. Ankur School campus offers a well-designed infrastructure that supports comprehensive education. The school comprises two main buildings: the Nursery Wing for Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten classes, and the Primary and High School Wing accommodating Classes I to X. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, equipped with modern teaching aids. Facilities include two large playgrounds, a well-stocked library, a computer lab, a science laboratory, and dedicated spaces for art, music, and sports, all contributing to a conducive learning environment among the students.

Our School Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system enhances efficiency and communication among teachers, parents, and students. Teachers can manage attendance, assignments, and academic records effortlessly. Parents receive real-time updates on their child’s progress, important notifications, and can conveniently pay school fees online. Students access schedules, performance updates, and essential information, fostering a more organized and connected learning experience. Additionally, the system automates administrative tasks, reducing manual workload and minimizing errors, thereby allowing educators to focus more on teaching.

Ankur School emphasizes holistic development through a structured house system and diverse clubs — Aster, Daffodil, Orchid, and Tulip — to foster teamwork and healthy competition. The school also offers various clubs, including the Peace Club, Eco Club, and Legal Literacy Club, providing platforms for students to engage in activities that promote social responsibility and environmental awareness. Regular inter-house competitions and club events encourage students to develop leadership skills, creativity, and a sense of community.
